Categorized Index of Great Videos (and Channels)
This page is forever a work in progress. The goal is to organize a categorized index of great videos, and great video channels, across topics such as mathematics, science, electronics, computers and software, music, cars, and all sorts of other things.
This page has a dual purpose: For myself, to organize the best and coolest videos I find and make them easy to find again in the future, and for others, to point out videos and channels that I believe are of high value.
More Coming Soon!
If you would like to suggest a video (or channel) for inclusion in this page, send feedback to: the name of this blog at mail dot com.
The goal is to eventually list great channels on other platforms in addition to YouTube. Check back soon!

Mathematics
- 3Blue1Brown, a.k.a. 3B1B, my absolute favorite channel about math. Tackles difficult areas of math and explains them in the most coherent and well-spoken manner I've ever heard, complete with incredible visualizations.
- Numberphile and its sister channel Numberphile2, the place for everything about numbers and math, from the everyday to some of the most obscure. Videos by Brady Haran with professors and prominent experts in mathematics.
- MindYourDecisions, math videos by Presh Talwalkar, along with brain teasers, riddles, and logic puzzles. Some really great math problems, worked out and explained step-by-step.

- Physics Videos by Eugene Khutoryansky includes math, with 3D computer generated visualizations.
Science
- Physics Videos by Eugene Khutoryansky, computer-generated 3D visualizations with great explanations of concepts in physics, with additional material about math and electronics. If you've always wanted to understand Angular Momentum, how a capacitor works, or couldn't wrap your mind around the Laplace Transform, this is the place.
- Sixty Symbols, a sister channel of Numberphile about physics and astronomy.
- Periodic Videos, yet another sister channel of Numberphile. This one is about chemistry. (Get it? Periodic videos? Periodic table?) But you can only watch it periodically. :-p
Electronics

Music
- Paweł Zadrożniak's channel, home of The Floppotron! Remember the days of dot matrix printers and floppy drives? Remember the noises they made? Well, you can control those sounds by varying the speeds of the stepper motors inside them and produce music! And this dude does exactly that, with his gigantic collection of 3.5 inch floppy disk drives and some dismantled scanners, with hard drives for percussion! Includes covers of lots of famous songs.
- 2CELLOS. Everything from beautiful classical songs to covers of Nirvana (yes, on the cello!!!), these guys are totally cool!
- Frog Leap Studios, totally BAD (where bad means good) covers of awesome music, by virtuoso (he didn't say it, I'm saying it) Leo Moracchioli of Norway.
